I love buttons. I think the reason I love them so much is that when I was a little girl, my mom would let my sister and me play with the buttons in her button basket. We would sort the buttons by type and color, then string them and make necklaces. This is my mom's basket. I do not still have the buttons that we played with, but I collect buttons from yard sales and now I have my own button collection. I don't play with them (at least I'm not admitting it), but looking at them brings back wonderful memories.
