273/365 Just Too Tired

After tonight's football game against our crosstown rival, I am just too tired to take a picture.  So here's some texture.  It's all I can come up with!  And I'm posting it a bit late.

272/365 Light Show

Tonight I was at the high school while the band trucks were being loaded up for tomorrow night's away football game.  While I was there, the thunder and lightning began, as well as glorious rain, which we need badly.  The lightning provided quite a show.

271/365 Atop Their Perch

The band directors are on their perch directing our wonderful high school marching band.  The band is just a couple days away from their first competition of the season.  I hope they have a good performance.  They've been working very hard.  (When I took this photo, it was just a quick snap, without thinking it might be used as my photo of the day.  Composition should have been a lot better!)

269/365 Time Stopped

This clock sits on our mantel.  I bought it many years ago in an antique shop in Whittier, California.  It didn't work, but I just liked the way it looked.  A few years ago my neighbor's dad was visiting and he saw my clock and asked me if he could try to fix it.  He did and we enjoyed it for a few days until it stopped again.  Today, when I got ready to take this picture, I noticed that one of the hands was bent and stuck on the other hand.  So I bent it out a bit and started the pendulum.  For now, it's working again!  I hope it lasts.

267/365 Twisted

Sometimes I look to a flickr group for an idea to try to shoot.  Today's challenge was "twisted".  I immediately thought of a twistie-tie.  So I grabbed the bag of sandwich buns and this is what I got.
